BACnet Packet Capture and Protocol Analyzer for MS/TP

The multi-pane user interface shows captured packets in several different kinds of detail. The upper pane displays a quick summary of received packets, each of which is identified by number. The MS/TP frame type, destination and source MAC addresses are shown, as well as a timestamp in milliseconds. For APDUs, the BACnet service is also shown.

The lower panes display detail information for selected packets. On the left is a hexadecimal display of raw packet information. The hexadecimal values are arranged on the same line with the interpreted protocol analysis shown in the right hand window. The right hand window displays a detailed analysis of the NPDU and APDU. The protocol analyzer engine uses fifth generation technology which supports the complete ANSI/ASHRAE 135-2012 standard. The left and right hand panes are synchronized when scrolled so that you can easily see the component encoding of portions of each packet. You can select portions of any of the panes for individual printout, saving to a file as text or copying to the clipboard. You can even export the capture in the popular WireShark format.
